Markets moved higher last week as many investors were encouraged that the Federal Reserve policy makers made no significant changes to their policy following their meeting on Wednesday.
We can obviously debate whether this is a good or bad thing for the economy long-term, but the bottom line is the Fed has signaled that they expect to leave rates near 0% “for a considerable time.”
